Beginning the SPORT Journey
Gymnastics is the foundation for all physical activity and sports. The Developmental Boys & Girls Programs are annual programs by invitation only on a year to year basis. The programs provide a solid base for the development of physical literacy ensuring that young athletes are well-equipped and confident to pursue gymnastics or another sport that may be more suited to them.

Christy Fraser Memorial Invitational 2023 & Winterfest Competition
It was a fantastic two weekends for Vancouver Phoenix Gymnastics, as they attended two exciting competitions. The first competition was the Winterfest Competition, hosted by Aviva Gymnastics. Our gymnasts delivered outstanding performances, with Ayami B. earning a 3rd place finish on Floor and Balance Beam, Raphaelle L. taking home the gold on Balance Beam, and Danna R. bringing home three victories on Balance Beam, Uneven Bars, and All Around.
The second competition was the Christy Fraser Memorial Invitational 2023, hosted by Langley gymnastics. This event was a tribute to the late Christy Fraser, a talented gymnast who made a significant impact in the gymnastics community. Our top gymnasts did not disappoint and delivered incredible performances. Makayla G. was the overall champion, taking home first place in Vault, Uneven Bars, All Around, and also earning a 2nd place finish on Balance Beam and Floor. Alexs D. and Harlow W.-S. both earned 2nd place in Vault, while Viktoria D. took home a 2nd place finish on Floor.
We were also incredibly proud of Julian L-C, who dominated the competition with first place finishes on Floor, P-bars, Vault, High bar, and All Around. Toby W. was the standout performer on Pommel and Horizontal Bar, earning first place in both events and All Around. Marcus C. brought home the gold on Rings, while Leon dominated Rings and Pommel. Noah W. earned first place in Vault, Griffin W. on Floor, Miles H. on Horizontal Bar, Warner N. on Floor, Theo R. on Pommel, Jacob D. on All Around, Beckette S. on Vault, P-bars, and Horizontal Bar.
Overall, it was an incredible showing by Vancouver Phoenix Gymnastics and we are so proud of all of our gymnasts. Their hard work and dedication paid off with these outstanding results. We can’t wait to see what they will achieve in future competitions. Keep up the fantastic work!
